Run or Walk to support Radnor Memorial Library at the annual Elves for the Shelves 5K, Walk, & Fun Run.
Kick off the holiday season with us! As part of the traditional Christmas in Wayne activities, the Elves race is a fantastic way to gather family, friends, and colleagues for a fun, festive morning. Funds raised through this event support the Library's mission to provide programs, collections, space, and other resources that enhance the quality of life for the entire community.

Race Events
5K Timed Race
Racers start and finish this 5K in front of Radnor Memorial Library. The race is professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall winners and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age group. Age groups are: 6 & under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Walk (2.3 miles)
Walkers start and finish the 2.3 mile Walk in front of Radnor Memorial Library. This event is for Walkers who prefer a longer route than the half mile Fun Run/Walk. Stroller and wheelchair accessible. The route proceeds along West Wayne Ave. crossing Conestoga Rd. and turning left on Atlee Rd. Then proceeds through the Wayne neighborhood, back to the Library.
Fun Run/Walk (.5 mile)
The Half Mile Fun Run/Walk is for all ages and is stroller & wheelchair accessible. All children 12 years old and under will receive a finish medal. Santa will be in attendance!
Virtual Run/Walk
Don't live near Radnor? You can participate from afar and run or walk wherever you are! Sign up as a Virtual Runner/Walker and log your distance and time on race day.

Organize a Family or Company Team
It's better when you do it together! Organize a family, workplace, or community team. Set a team fundraising goal to support the library.
Individual and Team Fundraising
Participants can also set individual and team fundraising goals! Those who raise or donate $100+, $300+, or $500+ will receive incentive prizes and be listed on our Thank You Banner at the event.
Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up is Friday, December 5, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM in the Library's Winsor Room (on the lower level). OR pick everything up on race morning between 7:00 – 7:30 AM.
Race Day Parking
Free parking in Wayne on race day! Park on the the street or in municipal lots (including the lots behind the Library on S. Wayne Ave. and in downtown on N. Wayne Ave.) for free. NO PARKING will be available on W. Wayne Ave. as the road will be closed for the race festivities.
Festive Costumes
Prizes will be awarded for creative costuming – for adults and children!
