We have wanted to produce an open cross country event for a long time. With District 1 no longer holding a JV race at the District championship races we are adding boys and girls JV races on Saturday afternoon, October 25, 2025.
The meet will take place on a two-loop flat, fast, spectator friendly course that is a modified version of the course used for the old John Sharp Viking Invitational.
There is challenging little downhill-uphill rise you will experience twice. Should the weather be wet there may even be water at the bottom. Course starts and finishes in Northampton Township and runs in and out of Tyler State Park. The improvement is that the course will not run along Richboro-Newtown Road. The Park will instead cut a course that will run along the tree line in that same field. It's our plan to buy trail cutting equipment for the park with proceeds from this event
The races will be USATF sanctioned and we will follow USATF rules.
The proposed schedule would be:
OPEN RACE: 3:45PM
HIGH SCHOOL AGED GIRLS RACE: 4:30PM
HIGH SCHOOL AGED BOYS: 5:15PM
THE HIGH SCHOOL AGED RACES WILL INCLUDE AWARDS TO THE TOP 25 FINISHERS AND TOP THREE CLUB TEAMS in each gender.
The Open Race would include prize money to the top three men and women IF WE GET 250 TOTAL PARTICIPANTS
Registrations will be as individuals at about $9 per student athlete and A SLIDING FEE STRUCTURE for the Open Race.
RACE DAY: high school aged races will be $20 and Open Race will be $40, SO ENTER EARLY.

Entry Fees go towards Sanctioning, Officials, Park Permits and Fees, Timing, Awards, JV Shirts, Portable Toilets and other expenses.
We are basing our budget on 250 total participants.
