Join us for the Virtual Turkey Trot for Treatment — a 5K with a purpose!
It’s just like any other race, except you choose where, with whom, and how you complete it. Walk, run, or roll your 5K from anywhere this Thanksgiving morning to help fund treatment opportunities for Sanfilippo syndrome type B (MPS IIIB).
Nine years ago, the Kempf Family welcomed their sweet Poppy into the world—full of light, laughter, and endless curiosity. In June 2025, after years of searching for answers, they learned that Poppy has Sanfilippo syndrome type B, often called childhood Alzheimer’s. Just weeks later, her baby brother, Oliver, received the same diagnosis.
Sanfilippo is a rare, fatal genetic disorder that slowly takes away a child’s ability to walk, talk, and eat. Most children with Sanfilippo B don’t reach adulthood—but for the first time ever, a promising therapy is within reach.
All proceeds from the race will go toward treatment opportunities for MPS IIIB.
