The Chomp for Charity 5K is our newest event benefiting our organization’s philanthropy. This year, we are proud to be working with the Child Advocacy Center.
The Gainesville Child Advocacy Center supports children in Alachua County who have experienced abuse, neglect, or violence. By bringing all essential services together under one roof, the CAC helps reduce further trauma and makes sure every child feels heard, safe, and supported. Their free services include forensic interviews, ongoing counseling, medical exams, and 24/7 crisis response—ensuring kids get the care they need to begin healing. The race will take place at First Magnitude Brewing Co. on Friday, September 26, at 6:30 p.m. Check-in will start at 5:00 p.m. The race will start and end at First Magnitude Brewery and go around Depot Park. We will have timing services, prizes, live music, and special guest Olympic medalist Meb Keflezighi! Join us for a fun and competitive race benefiting an outstanding cause!
