TRRC 50th Anniversary Celebration

TRRC's 50th Anniversary Celebration! 
The first meeting of the Toledo Roadrunners Club was held on January 2, 1976. The meeting was called to order by acting chairman Lou Wagner at his residence in Swanton, Ohio, at 7:30 P.M. Seventeen runners were in attendance. The opening motion was made by Lou Wagner, seconded by Jim Petiniot, to form a running club hereafter to be known as the Toledo Roadrunners. This motion was passed unanimously.  Since then, the Toledo Roadrunners Club has grown to over 1,200 members and currently hosts 27 events, including multiple fun runs.

Run/Memorial Walk
The 50th Anniversary Run will feature a timed 5K run and a 1-mile walk. Starting at the Glass City Metroparks at the Ribbon. It will run along the river, highlighting downtown Toledo to showcase the revitalized downtown waterfront and Metroparks Toledo.  The course will also feature a Memorial Mile.

Chipped time with custom bib, finisher certificate, and medal.
The first 200 registrants are guaranteed a TRRC 50th Anniversary Logo car seat towel cover.
You may purchase a memorial sign at registration to display during the race. You can find this option under the Store tab. 

 
Celebration Dinner
Join us for an exceptional and memorable evening at the Pinnacle in Maumee for the TRRC 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner! We’re kicking off this Golden Anniversary with a cocktail hour where you can unwind and mingle with fellow members, both past and present, over tasty beer, wine, or mocktails from our cash bar. As the night unfolds, you’ll be treated to a delicious sit-down meal in a stylish atmosphere. It’s a fantastic chance to connect, share favorite memories, and check out memorabilia celebrating the last 50 years. We can’t wait to celebrate this amazing milestone with you in style!
A highlight of the evening will be honoring our past leaders who have significantly contributed to the Toledo Roadrunners Club over the decades. Their dedication has shaped our journey and legacy, and we look forward to recognizing their achievements. 
Together, we’ll also look toward an exciting future for the club, filled with new adventures and opportunities. There is no stopping us from what we can accomplish within the club and the greater Toledo running community. We can’t wait to celebrate this amazing milestone with you.

Dinner will include your choice of beef (tenderloin), chicken (Tuscan boneless chicken breast), or vegan (stuffed pepper) options.  Please double-check your meal preference when registering. 
The final count for the dinner will be submitted by Thursday, July 16, 2026. 
No Dinner reservations will be taken after July 19, 2026.

Raffle option
North Branch Nursery has generously sponsored a table at our Celebration Dinner, and we are excited to announce that individual seats are being raffled off! 
When you purchase a raffle ticket for $5, your name will be entered to win one seat at the 10-seat table. Additionally, for every two (2) TRRC events you have participated in this year—whether by running, walking, or volunteering—you can receive an extra raffle ticket! To qualify for these additional tickets, please provide us with a list of the TRRC events you attended.
