SAPD 5K Fun Run Back-to-School Supply Drive & Health Fair

******************UPDATE – 06/23/2026 21:09 hours* ***We just reached 700 registered runners and all sponsored shirts have been claimed! Registration is still open, and we welcome all runners and walkers to join us on the closed 5K course inside SeaWorld San Antonio. While we have reached our sponsorship capacity and no longer have complimentary shirts, race bibs, or timing chips, participants are still welcome to register and participate in the event. We simply ask that you bring a school supply donation of any value on race day after your registration (We are using this year's participation data to help secure additional sponsorships and expand the event for next year.) Every donation helps support local students and teachers, many of whom purchase classroom supplies out of their own pockets. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on race day!

Join the San Antonio Police Department for the 2nd Annual SAPD 5K Fun Run & Health Fair benefiting Edgewood Independent School District students, families, and teachers. Instead of a registration fee, participants support the event by donating school supplies to help local students and classrooms. The event includes a free community Health Fair featuring wellness resources, youth programs, public safety outreach, giveaways, and family-friendly activities while the 5k is occurring.

For RUNNERS: ************************************************************************************************
The first 600 registered participants will receive a free event T-shirt, race bib, and timing chip, and are encouraged to donate approximately $25–$35 in school supplies during packet pickup. The race will be officially timed by IAAPWEB, with medals awarded to top finishers in each category. Participants registering after the first 600 spots are still welcome to participate by bringing a school supply donation of any value on event day. Non-runners and Health Fair guests are also welcome to donate school supplies during the event or drop off donations early at any San Antonio Police Department substations; however, early drop-offs do not count toward a registered runner’s required packet pickup donation. SAPD will deliver all collected donations to Edgewood ISD following the start of the 2026–2027 school year.

Mission StatementWhether you run, walk, volunteer, donate, or support the Health Fair, your participation helps Edgewood ISD students and teachers begin the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Together, we continue building a stronger community tradition.
SeaWorld San Antonio is ADA-compliant and welcomes trained service animals in accordance with venue policy. Service animals must remain leashed, under control, and housebroken at all times. Emotional support animals and non-approved animals are not permitted. SeaWorld also offers on-site kennel services for guests needing temporary pet accommodations during the event

This year, we have two separate registration portals: one for 5K participants and one for Health Fair vendors. (RUNNERS and VENDORS; Vendor registration is now closed. We will contact all applicants once final approval is received from the venue. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. 
Vendor registration for the SAPD 5K Fun Run & Health Fair benefiting Edgewood ISD students, families, and teachers. We are seeking health, wellness, educational, youth, nonprofit, public safety, and community resource vendors. Interactive booths, family-friendly activities, giveaways, wellness screenings, and educational materials are highly encouraged.
