Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet

4th Annual – Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet – August 1st, 2026Benefitting the Sartell CC Team and the Rustie Froemming Memorial CC Scholarship

Register today for the 4th Annual Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country meet! The goals of the meet are to celebrate our great Sabre CC tradition, connect with old teammates and coaches, and have fun competing on the Sabre Run home course!

The Alumni & Friends CC meet will serve as a fundraiser for the the Sabre CC team and the Rustie Froemming Memorial CC Scholarship. Coach Froemming, who died unexpectedly in 2020, was integral to the success of the Sabre CC program and the personal and athletic success of many alumni. 

Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross-Country Meet details:

Saturday, August 1st, 2026 – 9:00am 

Sabre Run CC course: between the (current) Sartell Intermediate and Middle School

Meet schedule (all Meet activities at the Sabre CC course):

Check-in and Day-of Registration – 7:30-9:00am: located at start/finish line

5K run-walk – 9:00am: open to all Alumni & Friends (spouses/partners, non-CC SHS alumni, parents, family, teachers, community members, etc.)

Family Fun Run-  approx. 9:45am: perfect for the smaller kiddos and their family members; following the last 5K race finishers. We will run two Fun Runs – and distances – to accommodate younger and older kiddos. 

Post-race Reception & Happy Hour:

Reception – approx.10:15am: Immediately following the Meet & Family Fun Run, including post-race refreshments and a brief program

Informal Post-race Happy Hour – : Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill – 1:00 – 4:00pm: celebrate your race results! No formal program, just a dedicated time/place for folks to meet, come and go as your schedule allows 

Meet Registration:

$25 per individual 5K registration (+ processing fee); $10 off when you register 2 or more 5K racers! 

Family Fun Run is FREE; no registration necessary 

Pre-registration is preferred for planning purposes, but race-day registrations also welcomed! 

Aluminum Sabre CC branded water bottle: $15 – stay refreshed and represent the program!

Ways you can participate in the Sabre Alumni & Friends CC Meet:

Register for the Meet – you can race, jog, walk, or stroll – all abilities welcomed!

Donate: Whether or not you're running, please consider making a donation. Parents, ISD 748 staff, community members, non-CC SHS alumni, and CC alumni who choose not to run can also make a donation – click the Donate button above!

Aluminum Sabre CC branded water bottle: if you cannot pick up your bottle on race day, we can mail your bottle for a processing fee or drop off your bottle at your home (if you're in Sartell area)
