Ride to the Rescue
Ride to the Rescue is an annual 25-mile and 50-mile cycling event through the heart of Tampa, bringing together riders, first responders, and the community for a powerful cause. The ride begins and ends at the historic Tampa Firefighters Museum, creating a meaningful backdrop for a day dedicated to supporting those who dedicate their lives to protecting us.
Escorted through the city by the motorcycle unit of the Tampa Police Department, participants experience a unique, police-led ride that highlights the unity between Tampa’s first responder agencies. Whether you choose the 25-mile or 50-mile route, you’ll enjoy a well-supported course, an incredible swag bag, and a custom Ride to the Rescue cycling jersey designed to commemorate your impact.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Firemen's Benevolent Association of the City of Tampa. Founded in 1909 as a widows and children’s fund, the Association is one of the oldest fire department charities in the nation. While its mission has evolved with the times, its heart has remained the same. Today, the organization provides critical cancer support and emergency reimbursements to members facing unexpected illness, injury, or hardship.
Most people don’t stop to consider what happens when the men and women who answer emergency calls become the ones facing emergencies themselves. That’s where the Firemen’s Benevolent Association steps in — ensuring that Tampa Bay’s first responders and their families are supported when they need it most.
Every dollar raised through Ride to the Rescue stays focused on helping first responders in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. When you ride, you’re not just logging miles — you’re standing behind the heroes who stand for us every day.
Join us. Ride with purpose. Ride to the Rescue. 🚴♂️🔥
