The Annual Polar Bear 5K, part of the Centex Race Series, will be held at the Copperas Cove City Park on January 17th, 2026. Start and finish will be at the City Park Pool with 3 laps around the park. Registration fee is $25, price increase starting January 7th. UPDATE: Online registration ends January 13th at 8:00am. Must register by January 2nd to be guaranteed a shirt! There will be onsite late registration starting at 7:00 am morning of the race.
Early Bib Pick Up will be on January 15th and 16th at the Copperas Cove Civic Center (1206 W Ave B, Copperas Cove) from 9:00am – 6:00pm, we will not hand out prior to 9:00am. Only first 200 participants to pick up bibs will receive bags as we only have limited quantity. Same day bib pick up will start at 7:00am.
We will have some raffle prizes to give away shortly after the race ends while we are waiting for the race results.
Afterwards, runners are invited to take a plunge into the City Park Pool for the Annual Polar Bear Plunge and participate in the belly flop.
