Come join us for the first ever O Holy Lights 5k Run/Walk at the Freedom Factory in Bradenton Florida.
"The Lights are Brightly Shining"
This is a chance to run or walk through the Awesome Bradenton Holiday Lights Festival at the Freedom Factory and enjoy the Christmas Spirit.
The first 1,000 to register will have the option to receive a Shoe Glow Light to wear during the event (shown below)
The 1 Mile Walk will begin at 5:30pm (not timed). The 5k Run will begin at 6pm (chip timed event).
Packet Pickup will be on Race Day only at the Freedom Factory beginning at 3:30pm. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to park and get checked in.
No pets will be allowed.
A themed T-shirt will be given with each registration. Shirt sizes are only guaranteed until December 6th at 11:59pm. If you register after the 6th, we will do what we can to get you one post event.
This is a Themed event and the 5k will be Chip Timed. Awards will be given by Chip Time.
There will be around 80,000 lights along your run/walk, including a HUGE lighted tunnel archway and a 50-foot Christmas Tree.
As you run through the course, you will hear different Christmas songs to keep you pumped up and in the Christmas Spirit.
Things to note regarding the course. If you sign up for the 5k Run/Walk division, you will start out running around the Freedom Factory grounds Off-Road grassy area for 1 mile, then transitioning to ashphault/concrete. The last 1 1/2 miles will be the most fun! You will start seeing the light show at it's greatest going through a HUGE tunnel of lights. You will transition to hard pack sand/gravel as you travel through the Crown Victoria car maze. The final stretch is entering the Freedom Factory track where you will run/walk around the entire track and through the Amazing Lightshow. Your Finish will be greeted by a 50 foot Christmas Tree in the center track.
If you are in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller and don't want to walk in the grass or hard sand and gravel portions, you can opt for the 1 Mile Walk that is Stroller and Wheelchair friendly. If you want to enjoy the lightshow and aren't interested in the off-road portions, then this is your division. In this division, you will start on the pavement and stay on pavement the entire event. This would be a walking division that would be primarily the light show.
