World-class professional cycling is showcased in Baltimore, Maryland with the best cyclists from around the World featuring Tour de France participants, World Champions, National Champions, Olympians and cycling heroes from 30 countries. The Maryland Cycling Classic, America’s Top One-Day Pro Cycling Race, is a UCI ProSeries one-day international cycling race sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and USA Cycling.
Maryland Cycling Classic is produced by the Sport & Entertainment Corporation of Maryland, a 501c3 tax exempt corporation and affiliated foundation of the Maryland Sports Commission, a division of the Maryland Stadium Authority.
The cycling race will be part of a three-day weekend community celebration of healthy lifestyle and living with participatory events, festival with interactive exhibits, local foods and drinks along with other fun activities.
Hundreds of volunteers are needed to make this event a success, and it would not be possible without you! All volunteers will receive swag to wear on race day.
Our greatest volunteer need is for Course Marshals. In this role, you'll support race staff by monitoring key areas such as driveways, intersections, and pedestrian crossings. This helps keep the course clear of any vehicles, bikes, animals and spectators. You may also assist police in ensuring the crowd stays safely off the live race route.
