The CoursesLong Course: The classic route remains unchanged—an authentic, high-country 21 mile challenge that has defined burro racing for generations. A historic out-and-back from downtown Leadville climbing toward Mosquito Pass—gaining nearly 3,000 feet from town to over 13,000 ft—before turning back for a fast, rugged descent to the finish.
