Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp 2026 Race Details
The latest details from your Race Directors:
Help STOMP out Alzheimer's and participate in the stoopidest & funnerest run you'll ever do!! 5kish run through Deerfly infested woods of Grand Mere State Park. Catch deer flies with a Tred- Not Deerfly Patch & raise $$$ to help fight Alzheimer's disease.
Catch deer flies with a Tred- Not Deerfly Patch (on your hat…BRING A HAT!!!) & raise $$$ to help fight Alzheimer's disease. Although we hope your time flies with us (see what I did there?), this is not a timed event.
The winner is the STOMPER who catches the most number of deer flies. Yes, we will actually count the deer flies. Rules? There's not a lot of rules…the "Dee Berry" rule (you can't steal somebody else's patch) is the only real rule. Prizes to top 3 STOMPERS!
FYI This is year 17 of the Jack Settles Deerfly Stomp!!! (Plus a few years of informal stomping…) Over the past 16 years we have caught approximately 3500 deerflies (plus at least 1 horsefly…grrrr) AND donated over $14,000 to the Alzheimer's Association!
