The only spaces we have are BIB ONLY entries. Shirts and medals are NOT guaranteed after our 10-18 deadline. Will have to wait till AFTER the run to pick up potentially the bib and medal based what we have left!! Please keep that in mind the day of!!
If you sign up today, you will pick your bib up the morning of from the registration table!!! 7am till 7:45am. We may have extra run shirts and medals but we won't know till after the race is over. Trust me, you will still have fun, it's a competitive event on a fast lake course.
We dropped the price to make it a bit easier considering it's a chipped bib only entry for now.
Back for its 5th year, better than ever!! The Love Of The Bay 5K/10K isn't just a run—it's a celebration of diversity in this beautiful run community that exists in the Bay Area. Starting from Lake Merritt, this flat and fast course loops around the lake, making it perfect for personal records or first-time runners and walkers. Whether it’s the 5K (3.17 miles) or the 10K (6.21 miles) use this event as the motivation to get or stay sharp during your fall run season.
Whether you're racing for your PR, walking to support the cause and enjoy the vibe of the event, or just cheering friends adding to the vibe—everyone belongs at this starting line. We will have official timing, chipped chrono-track run bibs, mile markers, and age group prizes for men and women, 18-39, 40-56 and 57 and above will be handed out and announced. All kids registered under 18 will receive special swag along with prizes for both the boys and girls division!!

👣 Separate starts for 5K/10K runners and walkers. Runners who run under 17:45 (the event 5K record) get their registration fees back. Or, under 38:02 as well for the 10K.
Please message direct if cost is an issue. We have lowered the barrier cost wise to help this be an event all can attend and enjoy, including families.

Packet Pickup:
Thursday, October 23rd —Sports Basement in Berkeley (off Milvia)
• 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Includes optional group shakeout run starting at 6PM from Sports Basement and post run Happy Hour hang out with pizza and drinks. Use your bib to score 20% of gear in store that day!!
Race Day Morning:
• 7:00 AM – 7:45AM (sharp!) at the actual event (we will have tables set up for bib and shirt pickup).
Plenty of post run refreshments will be available. We make the best post run hydration around!! Stay after the run for FREE photos we take of all the runners with medals.
Getting There:
We encourage participants to take BART to 19th street and walk over (.75 of a mile). Parking is available inside the Lake Merritt Fairyland parking lot or on surrounding streets.
