6.5 mi out & back | Easy Difficulty | Elevation Gain 990 feet | Warner Springs, CA
This hike is located about 2hrs from base. The first section of the trail takes you through a shade of oaks. Trees open up to grasslands overlooking remote area. At the end, you are treated to a unique rock formation called Eagle Rock. This hike is rated as easy, relatively flat, with little incline. This trail is a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). We are likely to encounter backpackers on the trail. Please be sure to give backpackers the right of way.
Transportation is required.
Safety Tips: Wear lightweight non-cotton clothing and head covering (hat). Use sunblock. Must carry 2L of water, coupled with electrolyte tablets. Wear a trail shoe with good traction. Bring a small backpack to carry your water, snacks, and other hiking essentials. Trekking poles recommended if you have them. Come prepared with a fully charged cellphone.
