Welcome to the 5th annual Santa Fe International Half Marathon!From September 18 to 20, 2026, experience a weekend of culture, connection, and community.
⚠ NEW FOR 2026 — THE RACE DOES NOT START DOWNTOWN.The Half Marathon, 3-Amigos Relay and 5K now start at Romero’s Park in Agua Fría at 7:30 AM and finish at Reunity Resources Farm, 1829 San Ysidro Crossing. Packet pickup and the Kids 1K Dash remain downtown at the Railyard. Roads into the start close at 7:00 AM.
Capitol Ford presents the fifth annual Santa Fe International Half Marathon. This event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities, whether you are looking for a personal best, trying a new challenge, or bringing your family for a fun day.
This year we are proud to run for water in collaboration with the Kitany Water Project to help bring clean, sustainable water to underserved communities. Get more information about our water project.
Race Options
Half Marathon (13.1 mi, GPX-measured): Starts at Romero’s Park in Agua Fría. An opening loop through Agua Fría Village (miles 0–4.9), then out and back along the Santa Fe River Trail corridor to a turnaround at mile 9, finishing at Reunity Resources Farm. Paved the whole way. Elevation 6,567–6,883 ft with about 651 ft of climbing. Time limit 4:30 — the course closes at 12:00 PM. There is no intermediate cutoff at the turnaround.
3-Amigos Relay: Team up with two friends or first responders to complete the half marathon course as a team of three. Same 7:30 AM start at Romero’s Park.
5K (3.12 mi): Same 7:30 AM start at Romero’s Park, finishing at Reunity Resources Farm.
Kids 1K Dash: ages 3 to 14. Free, and held Saturday, September 19 at Railyard Park downtown — walk in during the expo to register, no pre-registration necessary.
Strollers are welcome on the half marathon, 5K and relay — new for 2026, and possible because the course is paved throughout.
Aid & Medical
Five aid stations, roughly every two miles: mile 2, mile 4, mile 6, mile 8, and mile 9 at the turnaround. The mile 6 station is dual-sided and also serves runners returning at mile 12. Certified medical personnel are on course, with ALS medical at the mile 9 turnaround.
Kids Indigo T-Shirt Workshop with Gasali Adeyemo
Children ages 3 to 14 are invited to a free, hands-on indigo art workshop with renowned African artist Gasali Adeyemo — a unique cultural activity blending creativity, tradition, and fun. Kids learn about African indigo dyeing techniques and design their own race-themed T-shirt to take home. Supplies provided, no experience needed.
Health and Wellness Expo
Product demonstrations, expert advice from nutritionists and trainers, free samples, and exclusive deals — at Warehouse 21, next to Santa Fe Railyard Park, 740 Cerrillos Rd.

Sunday, September 20 — Race Day — Romero’s Park, Agua Fría6:00 AM: Venue opens, race-morning packet pickup and gear bag drop open.7:00 AM: Roads into the start close, corrals open.7:30 AM: Half Marathon, 3-Amigos Relay and 5K start together.9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Post-race celebration and awards at Reunity Resources Farm.12:00 PM: Course closes.
Parking
Park at Reunity Resources Farm, 1829 San Ysidro Crossing — the finish line is there, so your car is waiting for you when you cross. There is no return shuttle, and none is needed. All relay team members should also park at Reunity Resources.
Post-Race Celebration & Happy Hour
Cross the line and celebrate at the finish-line festival at Reunity Resources Farm, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, where the awards are presented.
After the awards at Reunity Resources, the celebration moves to a happy hour at Nuckolls Brewing Company, 1611 Alcaldes St, Santa Fe. Come raise a glass to your finish.
Awards & Recognition
Overall top male, female and non-binary finishers receive custom event trophies. Age-group awards go to the top three men, top three women and top three non-binary finishers in each of sixteen 5-year divisions, scored separately in each category:14 & Under, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75–79, 80–84, 85+.
