Race Overview:

The 4th Annual Soriano Challenge: 100 Miles in 30 Days.

This challenge proudly bears Officer Josh Soriano’s name, honoring the bold idea that started it all! Walk, run, swim, bike, however you move, the goal is to get active while having some friendly competition and creating community around fitness.

 

When: Begins April 1st @ 0000 hours and ends April 30th @ 2359 hours.
Where: Anywhere!
What: Permitted Activities

Run/Walk Division: Only running and walking. Hiking, treadmill, daily step count translated to miles (2000 Steps = 1 Mile).

All Activity Division: You name it! Activity must be logged in distance by miles. Ideas below.

  • Running and walking: hiking, treadmill, daily step count translated to miles
  • Indoor and outdoor biking
  • Rollerblades/Skates
  • Skateboarding
  • Elliptical
  • Swimming
  • Indoor and outdoor rowing
  • Skiing/Snowboarding
  • MMA/Combat Sports (1 Hour = 800 Calories = 8 Miles)
  • CrossFit (100 Calories = 1 Mile)
  • Circuit Training (100 Calories = 1 Mile)
  • Yoga (100 Calories = 1 Mile)
  • Strength Training (100 Calories = 1 Mile)
  • Dancing (100 Calories = 1 Mile)
How: Complete solo and/or divide up the miles with a team of friends or family.

SOLO CHALLENGER: You must complete ALL miles entirely on your own. You are still encouraged participate if you are unable to commit to the 100 miles.

TEAM CHALLENGER: You can have a team of friends or family and DIVIDE the miles however you'd like to complete the goal. Each team member must register. The mileage tracking system will keep track of your team's total miles and time.

  • Note: The miles for each registered event are tracked separately. For example, if you run 10 miles, you can enter 10 miles under your Solo registration and 10 miles under your Team registration.
Tracking/Results

You can use whatever app or device that works best for you (Fitbit, Apple, WHOOP, Garmin, MapMyRun, Strava, etc). Once the challenge begins, you'll be able to manually log your activities through your RunSignUp profile and your results will be uploaded to the official leaderboard. You may log miles daily or weekly. Please submit all activity by May 1st at 2359 hours.
