Toughest Alive: Team Fitness Combine — Feb 28 (Palmer, AK)
Get ready for a fast, fun, spectator-friendly functional fitness event built for teams. The Toughest Alive Team Combine features three scored tests designed to challenge strength, speed, and stamina — and then the Top 5 teams throw down in a head-to-head final to crown the champions.

Bring a partner, choose a sweet team name, we'll bring your custom t-shirt with your team name! You just come compete and have fun.

Registration
Price: $99 per person ($198 per 2-person team)
Registration is per athlete. Teams are two people. Either Male/Male or Female/Female.

 
Event Format
Teams of 2
3 scored tests (the Combine)
Top 5 teams after the three tests advance to the Final
Scoring: Teams are ranked each test by performance (1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, etc.). Lowest total points after 3 tests determines Final seeding and the Top 5.

Rx Sandbag Weight (carry portions + Test 1):

Men: 60 lb
Women: 45 lb
Scaled options will be available (lighter sandbag + movement modifications as needed).

 
The Tests
TEST 1 — Strength Chipper (For Time | 14-minute cap)
Team total (one athlete working at a time):

20 sandbag ground-to-front rack (Zercher clean)
30 sandbag front squats
40 sandbag shoulder lunges (each step = 1 rep)
50 hand-release push-ups
 
TEST 2 — Speed Cycles (For Time | 7-minute cap)
8 cycles total — tag and switch each cycle:

Athlete A: Sprint 200 ft down + 200 ft back
Athlete B (at the same time): 6 facing burpees over the sandbag
When both are done → tag & switch roles → next cycle
Facing burpees over bag: stay facing the sandbag the entire time; complete the burpee; jump laterally over the bag without turning.

 
TEST 3 — Stamina Chipper (For Time | 18-minute cap)
Team total (one athlete working at a time), complete in order:

400 ft bear crawl (200 down + 200 back)
400 ft broad jump (200 down + 200 back)
400 ft sandbag carry (200 down + 200 back)
400 ft sandbag shoulder lunges (200 down + 200 back)
 
FINAL — Top 5 Teams Only (AMRAP 10:00)
One athlete working at a time. Partners alternate laps.

One lap:

Run/carry sandbag 200 ft down
Backward bear-crawl sandbag drag 200 ft back
10 facing bag-over burpees
Tag partner → repeat
Final score = total completed laps (and reps if needed for tie-breaking).

What to Bring
Athletic shoes with good traction
Water/electrolytes
Knee sleeves or long socks recommended (for crawling/lunges)
Optional: jump rope (if you have one)
 
Scaling & Safety
Scaled options will be available for key movements (burpees, push-ups, crawling/jumping) to keep the event safe and inclusive while still challenging.
