Join Us for the 3rd Annual Scranton Turkey Trot!
Kick off your Thanksgiving morning with family, fun, and a little fitness at our 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk! The Scranton Turkey Trot brings the community together to move, laugh, and give thanks—because what better way to start the day than family, football, and a 5K?
Whether this is your very first race or you're a seasoned runner, we welcome you with open wings! Let’s get huffin’ before the stuffin’!
Event Details
Start Time: 9:00 AM
(Early enough to get you moving, but not late enough to miss the parade or the pies.)
Course: Scenic, mostly flat with a few rolling hills — and no street crossings!
Post-Race Refreshments: Enjoy Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee and Apple Cider to warm up after the finish line.
Giving Back
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Nay Aug Park Association for the continued revitalization of the park in the name of the James “Red” McAndrew Foundation.
Red, a proud Hill Section native, often called Nay Aug Park a “diamond within the city,” and we’re honored to help preserve it.
Over the past two years, nearly $20,000 has been donated to the Butterfly Playground, an all inclusive play space designed for children and adults of all abilities.
