Start 2026 with energy, connection, and a fresh sense of purpose at the 2026 New Year Kickoff Smokestack Out'N Back 5K! Held at Hamilton Landing Park in Stanwood, this family-friendly run welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to celebrate health, wellness, and community spirit. The course follows calm county roads and the Port Susan Trail, with the historic Smokestack visible along the route. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with friends, or simply welcoming the New Year with movement, this event offers a refreshing way to start 2026 on the right foot. Lace up and join us as we run into the New Year together!

- Packet Pick-Up: Begins at 10:00 AM | please have your registration QR code ready for a smooth check-in.
- Start Time: 11:00 AM
- Timing: This event features chip timing.
- Finisher Medals: Every participant will receive a commemorative medal to celebrate their accomplishment!
- Awards: Cheer on the champions! Awards will be presented to the top male, female, and kid finishers.
- Age group recognition for: 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70-79, and 80+.
- Light post-race refreshments: Enjoy a tasty treat, a refreshing drink, and some good company as you celebrate your run!
- Post-Race Appreciation Drawing: 12:00 PM — As a token of gratitude, all registered participants and volunteers will be entered into our prize drawing.
- Family-Friendly: Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome! Non-registered family members may join for fun but will not receive a medal or be entered in the drawing. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Dog-Friendly: Leashed furry friends are invited to join in the New Year excitement!
