CERC Columbus Marathon Cheer Zone

From the first to the last, every single runner at the Columbus Marathon deserves support. Each person has worked hard to get to the starting line and the  Columbus Eastside Running Club wants to make sure we're here to cheer on ALL OF THEM.

We will be between miles 22 and 23 at the Goddard School of Grandview. The first runner should come through our cheer zone shortly after 9AM, but we're really here for the whole field. The last runners will come through around 2:00PM. If you can only spare a little time, make it later! We want to give these runners a very warm CERC welcome.

YOU CAN EXPECT: hot dogs and fixings (free), a DJ, noisemakers and party gear, and a great atmosphere. YOU SHOULD BRING: the energy! If you're running the half or full yourself, enjoy the finish party — when you get to the cheer zone you can continue the very important refueling process with a hot dog. You might also want a lawn chair, picnic blanket, or hammock (?).

PARKING: The Goddard School lot may be difficult to enter or leave while between 9 and 2. The shopping center across the street from the Cheer Zone will still be accessible from Junction Way, and the Giant Eagle parking lot will be accessible from Third Ave. If you need to come and go during the race, we recommend you park in one of these lots.
