If that sounds like you, you should come out to Missoula's first and only camera-timed beer mile. With official timing and scoring via FinishLynx – the same system used at Hayward Field – but run on a dirt track to keep things fitting for a race in Montana.
The festivities will start at 5:30, with races starting at 6:00 or whenever the race director thinks it's time to start. Then for folks who are still standing, a trip to Flippers for Rainiers on the race director.
Stick around after the mile for a cigarette 400 – run one lap all out while keeping a cigarette lit.
Don't drink beer? Think N/A beer is a cop out? We've got a division for you – drink 5% regulation beer-mile beers, Athletic Brewing, Kombucha, Cream Soda, La Croix, anything really – just come with 4 of them and racing flats and good vibes.
