Join us for the 4th Annual Run for Tanzania on October 25! The run is a 5K (3.3 miles to be exact) trail run or walk in beautiful Powhatan State Park on an earthen trail along the river and through the woods. The trail has rocks, roots, and hills. Difficulty is moderate. A Kid's Fun Run will take place at 8:30 am before the main race begins. The kids will run about .25 miles on a dirt and grassy path. All the kids will receive a participation medal.
You're sure to have a fun time with family and friends walking or running. Prizes will be awarded to top achievers in various categories. (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place kids, youngest and oldest 5K participants).
EVENT INFORMATION:
- The race is October 25, 2025 at 9:00 am. Kids' Fun Run is at 8:30 am.
- The location is Powhatan State Park. 4616 Powhatan State Park Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. Directions
- The event will begin at the Equestrian/Trailhead Lot. Directional signs will be posted.
- Parking at the State Park is $5 per vehicle.
- This is a timed and chipped race for those who are running to compete.
- The packet pick up is Friday, October 24, from 4-6 pm at Passion Community Church in Midlothian (50 Old Otterdale Rd.).PCC Directions
- Packets can also be picked up at the race before 8:45 am.
- There will be donuts, bananas, granola bars, and plenty of water.
- Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt and should pick them up at the church on Friday, if possible. We will mail them to out of town participants. Please email us to arrange another pick up time if needed.
