While originally planned to be only a 5K – these couch potatoes just couldn't muster the energy! For the enjoyment of ALL levels of spud muffins, we are offering a 5k AND 1k option!
Both races will check-in at Lions Park (aka Town Park – 326 Wunder Street). A visual of the route will be available ahead of time, posted online, and physically when you check-in.
5K – The race, beginning at 8AM, will begin in Lions Park and end at the Town Hall (downtown). Check-in will be from 7-7:45AM. There will be a potato bar for the 5k runners at the finish line and water stations available. All racers will receive a bag of Route 11 potato chips, a voucher for the potato bar, and a tee shirt. Beginning at 9:30, there will be a hayride to bring you back to Lions Park (or you're welcome to walk/run back – approx. .4mi). All are welcome to stick around and enjoy TaterFest (10-5PM): live music, local farmers market, the wine/brew garden, hayrides, tractor show & MORE!
1K – For our true couch potatoes! The race, beginning at 1PM, will be made up of a loop in Lions Park (smack dab in the middle of TaterFest!). Check-in will be from 12-12:45PM. All racers will receive a bag of Route 11 potato chips, a $5 coupon to Melted Dreams, and a tee shirt. This race will be marked, but untimed, and awards will only be given for best costume!
