FINDING HOMES – ONE DOG AT A TIME
This is why we run!
Run or walk at your pace with or without your dog. The event starts at the Granada Launch Ramp (Rosie's Dog Beach) at 5000 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803 and the course follows along the scenic Long Beach shoreline. Park at the 54th & Claremont lot.
Race packet pick up is at the starting line on race day. Please arrive by 7:30 am to allow sufficient time before the race.
EVENTS
- 5K Runner-only (humans only) race starts at 8:30 am
- 5K Mutt run (runner/walker plus dog) starts at 8:30 am
- 1K Mutt run (runner/walker plus dog) starts at 8:45 am
DOGGIE DO'S and DON'T'S
- All breeds of dogs welcome, not just mutts
- Dogs must be leashed and stay on the pedestrian path at all times
- Dogs must be non-aggressive with people and dogs
FUN INCLUSIONS AND POST-RACE EVENTS
- Adoption event by the Long Beach Animal Care Services at the finish line and post-race festival
- High quality race t-shirt for 1K and 5K participants
- Finisher medal for all participants
- Awards for top three 5K finishers
WHY WE RUN
- 70% of proceeds will support the Long Beach Animal Care Services
- 30% of the proceeds will go toward the community project fund at Signal Hill Rotary
