Greetings to all our beloved Shelane's Run supporters,
Shelane's Run honors Shelane Gaydos, a mother of three girls who tragically ended her life while suffering severe postpartum depression. After her passing in June of 2015, friends and family established this annual event in Shelane's honor to memorialize her love and commitment to her family, community, and running. This year, the event will be held in-person on October 18th, 2025 at the Fairfax County Government Center.
Proceeds from this event support Shelane's Fund — a program that provides financial assistance to perinatal families suffering from postpartum depression and other mental health issues during pregnancy and postpartum.
