Go Gray for Oaklee is excited to announce our first annual 5K and 1K color run! Please join us at our family friendly event!
All proceeds will go towards Oaklee and her family to cover medical expenses, travel for treatment and giving Oaklee the comfort and care she deserves.
About Oaklee and her journey
At just 11 months old, sweet Oaklee was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Since then, her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Now 4 years old, Oaklee is a bright, funny, and fearless little girl who continues to face every challenge with unimaginable strength.
In her short life, she has already endured brain surgeries, countless hospital stays, 48 rounds of chemotherapy and 18 months of RNA inhibitors. Recently, her tumor has started to grow again, causing her vision to decline even further.
Despite everything she’s been through, Oaklee’s spirit remains unshaken. She lights up every room with her smile and continues to inspire everyone around her.
Race Day Schedule-
6:30AM- Packet pickup and race day registration opens
7:00AM- Packet pickup and race day registration closes for 5K, registration will remain open for 1K
7:15AM- Pre race meeting
7:30AM- 5K Race begins
8:15AM- Post race food, beverages
8:30AM- Registration closes for 1K
9:00AM- 1K Color Run begins
9:45AM- Approximate time for awards for 5K- no awards for 1K
5K Run/Walk–
5K race begins at 7:30 AM
$40 entry, race day entry $45
Your 5K race entry will include a race t-shirt guaranteed for online registration only until August 28th, 2025.
Also included with your 5K race entry is access to the entire benefit without paying admission. We will have a black pot cook off, silent auction, raffle, split the pot, sweet shop, bounce houses, face painting and more! Please bring your whole family to support brave Oaklee!
Race day registration begins at 6:30 AM the Iowa Park located near the pavilion. 115 N Thompson Ave., Iowa, LA 70647.
Packet pick up will be at Southern Specialty Products, 615 E Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70601, on September 19th from 12:30PM until 4:30PM. If you cannot pick it up on the 19th, you can get your packet before the race starts on September 20th between 6:30AM and 7:00AM.
1K Color Fun Run/Walk-
1K Color Run begins at 9:00 AM.
$10 entry for the color run
Ages 3 and under will be FREE.
T-Shirts are not included, wear white!
Awards-
Overall top 3 male and female will be awarded medals and baked goods.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL BE $45 FOR THE 5K, $10 FOR THE COLOR RUN AND $50 FOR BOTH RACES.
