Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run – Check Back for 2026 Specifics In January!

Are you ready to get colorful for a great cause? The PACU Foundation’s Flying Colors Charity 5K and Fun Run is a dynamic, community-focused event that centers around a timed 5K (8 a.m. start) in which participants are doused with safe, food-based color powder at various points throughout the course. There will be a second, untimed fun run/walk (9:15 a.m.) start for those looking for a more casual, but equally fun, option that will also feature color powder.

Participants will receive an event t-shirt that will appear tie-dyed and rainbow-tastic by the end of either option selected (timed 5k or untimed fun run/walk)!* Packets for participants registered by 6/1/26 will be available for pickup at Piedmont Advantage Credit Union in the lobby (Winston Salem location – 3530 Advantage Way, Winston-Salem, NC 27103) on TBD from 11 am – 5:30 pm. Individuals registered after 6/1/26 and those not able to pickup packets on TBD may collect them on the day of the run at the registration table between 7 am – 7:40 am (the 5k will begin promptly at 8 am.)

There will also be games, face art, a bubble station, access to local food trucks to purchase delicious treats, and so much more! The PACU Foundation advances charitable giving to support access to financial literacy, education and training, and disaster and emergency assistance for residents overcoming financial hardship throughout the Triad and Charlotte communities.
