As part of DLS's ongoing commitment to giving back and supporting causes important to our team members, we are bringing back the DLS 5k for Lewy Body Dementia for its second year. Proceeds will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Lewy Body is a progressive brain disorder many people have never heard of – despite being the second most common type of dementia after Alzheimer's.
Race date this year is Saturday, August 23rd. Race course will be out-and-back and mostly flat along the W&OD Trail. Start/finish line will be on the trail at Bon Air Park & Rose Gardens. All finishers will receive a t-shirt (t-shirt NOT guaranteed for those registering after July 23rd). Prizes awarded to the top finishers!
5k will start at 9:00am. There will also be a 1-mile fun run option, which will be an out-and-back on the same course.
Timing will be done manually with a race clock and bibs (no chips).
