Race Overview:

Join us for fitness and Halloween fun in the 57th annual Carson Park 5 & 10, western Wisconsin's longest-running run/walk event!

Enjoy a challenging, scenic course in and around Carson Park! With the 10-mile course featuring the new stretch of trail between Rod and Gun Park and Carson Park.

Stick around for post-race fun including a Halloween costume contest with Scheels and Festival Foods gift card prizes, free museum tours featuring current display “America’s Superheroes, Monsters, and Villains: Our Culture at Play.”, and free train rides for kids in costume (all other riders just $3).

Post-race treats include one free beer (must be 21 or older) or soda to all finishers

Prizes include:

*Medals to all kid’s run finishers

*Medals to top three 5K and 10-mile age-group finishers

*Scheels gift card prizes to top overall finishers

*Scheels and Festival Foods gift card prizes to best kids and adult costumes

*$200 cash prize to overall 10-mile winner

 

 

PLUS, TAKE THE CARSON CHALLENGE!

Run your first or fastest 5K or within 2 minutes of your predicted 10-mile time (faster or slower) and receive your choice of a Carson ball cap or neck gaitor or pair of ITC socks.

 

Sat. Oct. 25th Event Schedule

8:30 a.m.–5K & 10-mile run/walk

9 a.m.-Noon–Free tours of the Chippewa Valley Museum for all event participants

10:30 a.m.–Awards, Halloween Costume Contest 

11 a.m.–Kid's 1/4 mile & 1-mile BOO-GIE Run

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.–Train rides–kid's in costume one FREE ride; all other riders $3

 

 

 

Friday & Saturday Race shirt and # pickup will be available at the Wisconsin Logging Museum (Paul Bunyan Logging Camp) 4 to 7 pm Friday, Oct. 24th and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25th.

 

 

Event proceeds benefit the Chippewa Valley Museum and the ITC Running/Walking Club, two non-profit organizations with a long history of promoting community education, fitness, and service.
