After 10 years of the Crisis Center's Just a Call Away 5K, we're doing something different! Join us and the Birmingham Track Club on August 16 at Trim Tab Brewery for a run, post-run social, and a bonus Watermelon Eating Contest! There will be drinks and snacks, and great opportunities to get to know the BTC and the Crisis Center.
This year's race has distances for everyone, with the 1-3 mile run beginning at 7AM, a 5-8 mile course starting at 6:30AM, and a long run for the extra ambitious (12 miles!) at 6AM. Everyone is welcome, but runners who register will receive a drink ticket, iced coffee from Punch Love, and a raffle ticket for the chance to win goodies from local businesses.
After running, check out The Total Joint‘s recovery tent. They offer physical therapy from their locations in Crestwood and Homewood, with a variety of customizable services to meet your individual needs and help you reach your goals.
Can't make it in person? You can still support the Crisis Center and complete a run on your own time!
