Welcome to The Rumble — The Fastest Race in Charleston
Get ready for a high-energy, elimination-style team relay race unlike anything Charleston has seen. Set in the heart of historic downtown at Hampton Park, The Rumble is a 3-stage, team relay packed with speed, strategy, and spectacle.
Expect a race-day experience like no other (in partnership with Blue Sky Endurance):

How The Rumble Works:
Each team consists of 2 runners. Together, you’ll compete in 3 rounds of 1-mile relay loops:
– Runner 1 runs 1 mile → hands off to Runner 2 for 1 mile
– Your combined time = team’s time for the round
– After each round, the top 50% of teams advance one round closer to the grand prize (all teams run all 3 rounds, this pertains to the grand prize)
The final round (Round 3) determines grand prize division winners, age group champions, and other awards.
Divisions & Prizes:
Teams choose one of three divisions:
– Men’s
– Women’s
– Mixed
$500 to the winner of each division (Total Purse: $1,500)
Even if your team is eliminated from the grand prize before the final, you’re still eligible for:
– Age Group Awards (based on total team age & 3-round time)
– Fastest Mile Award (Individual & team)
– Closest Predicted Time
– Best Team Coordination

Round 3 is a true race-off for the grand prize. Only the top teams remain. First across the line wins their division’s $500 prize.
