Check-In and Shirt Pick-Up: Check-in and day-of registration will open at 7:00 AM on the front patio of Cap & Cork. Shirts will be available to those who purchase them before EOD on Wednesday, August 20.

AwardsMedals will be provided to the first 10 men and 10 women that cross the finish line. Medals will be given out and announced directly after the Kids Fun Run concludes.

Timing: Timing will be the old-fashioned method like we do with local invitational cross country races. When you check in, we will write your associated race number on each hand. These numbers will be caught at the finish line as all runners and walkers cross through.

We do not currently have the funds this year for bib timing, but we hope to have that sorted out for next year's 2nd Annual Back to School 5k!

Weather: The race will go on rain or shine! If threatening weather is in the area, we will delay until safe.

Benefactor:

This race is being hosted and administered by North Middle School. Proceeds will primarily support the following two areas:

  1. The expansion of NMS XC, which now includes K-5 students at Cairo, East Heights, South Heights, and Spottsville Elementary Schools.
  2. Henderson County Schools' cross country programs at large, as we set aside funds to work with the City of Henderson on establishing a home cross country course for the district (more details to come later this year).
