Cancer Awareness 5K

5K RUN/WALK
AYLUS Space Coast Branch is hosting a Cancer Awareness 5K run/walk event on Saturday, 8/29/2026, 9am at Urban Prime. This 5K event will bring together local families, survivors, caregivers, volunteers, and community members to raise awareness about cancer, encourage healthy activity, and strengthen support for individuals and families affected by cancer.
All proceeds will go to Live Inspired Brevard, a nonprofit that supports those impacted by cancer.
 
RACE SCHEDULE
Saturday, August 29th, 2026
5K – 9:00AM Start
 
LOCATION and DIRECTION
The 5K event will take place at front of Urban Prime Restaurant, located at 2435 Metfield Dr, Melbourne, FL 32940, it is off I-95 exit 191, cross street of the Avenue Mall. Please use this address for GPS directions. 
 
RACE COURSE 
The course will start at Urban Prime, going west on Town Center Ave, south onto Stadium, east onto Florencia Pl, north onto Rodina Dr, and west on Town Center Ave. This event is not officially timed. This course will be 2 laps, the water station is set up at Urban Prime.
For everyone’s safety, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, and dogs are not permitted on the race course unless otherwise authorized by event organizers. Participants are also encouraged to limit headphone use so they can hear directions, announcements, and course guidance during the event. 
 
STROLLERS
We are happy to welcome participants with jogging strollers. For the safety and comfort of everyone, stroller participants should line up behind all runners and remain courteous throughout the course. Stroller operators and walkers must stay to the right side of the track so that runners and joggers can pass on the left side. Have fun and stay safe!
 
WALKER FRIENDLY
Walkers are welcome and encouraged to participate in the 5K. We are committed to creating a community-friendly event for participants of different ages and activity levels. To help ensure a smooth start, walkers should allow runners to line up in front stay to the right side of the track so that runners and joggers can pass on the left side.
 
T-SHIRTS
Participants registered prior to August 18th will be guaranteed to receive an event T-shirt. The event will have a few more T-Shirts on the event day on first come first serve basis.
 
KIDS' RUN 
Children 11 years old and under are free to participate the event.
 
VOLUNTEERS
Interested in volunteering for Cancer Awareness 5K? We would love to have you join us. Volunteers play an important role in helping create a welcoming, organized, and successful event experience for participants and families.Volunteer opportunities may include setup, registration, parking support, course guidance, water stations, hospitality, cleanup, and participant support.
