Alabama records over 120 veteran suicides annually, accounting for roughly 18% of all suicide deaths in the state, while veterans make up only about 9.1% of the population. Factors such as age, gender, homelessness, and mental health play a significant role in the persistent issue of veterans' suicide that plagues our communities.
